The Department of the Treasury of the United States today included in the list of specially designated narcotics traffickers to one of the main leaders of drug trafficking in Guatemala, identified as Chacon Dadiana Marllory Rossell.
According to the agency, Rossell Chacon would be "one of the most powerful drug traffickers in Central America. "
The authorities indicate that the signal U.S. is responsible for the decanting of thousands of kilograms of cocaine per month through to Guatemala to the United States.
"It is believed that (Chacon) Rossell lava every month hundreds of millions of dollars from drug trafficking, making it the most active lava-dollars in Guatemala," said the Department of theTreasury in a statement .
Along with Chacon Rossell, seven of his associates were included in this list after being found in violation of the Law of Designated Foreign Narcotics Kingpin or Law.
"The activities of drug trafficking Dadiana Marllory and their ties to drug cartels in Mexico and make a key figure in the drug trade, "said the director of the Office of Control of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Adam Szubin.
With this appointment the woman is subject to blocking actions of all assets controlled in whole or in part, and are subject to U.S. jurisdiction.
Prohibits institutions equally to financial conduct operations with U.S. Rossell Chacon and his associates, among which includes her husband, Jorge Andrés Fernández Honduras.
Other designated whose identity was disclosed are Hayron Eduardo Borrayo Lasmibat and Mirza Borrayo Silvana Hernandez of nationality Guatemala. The rest was not identified.
The Treasury also identified Chacon companies controlled by Rossell and operated by its partners in Guatemala and Panama.
